AOX CONVENTION: INDUSTRY RESOLUTION & LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

As the outdoor lifestyle, 4×4 overland tourism, and vehicle modification sectors experience unprecedented growth across Southeast Asia, the line between unregulated modification and certified overland engineering must be defined.

The AOX 2026 Industry Resolution serves as the collective declaration of aftermarket manufacturers, engineering bodies, and tourism boards. Paired with a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony on Day 1, this convention addresses the long-standing regulatory friction between street compliance, trail safety, and border-crossing expedition readiness.

To set the direction, five resolutions have been proposed to achieve the following:

Build the industry.

Improve standards.

Prepare for the future.

Improve safety.

Protect nature.

To have the industry resolutions adopted, AOX would invite the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety (MIROS), the Malaysian Institute of ESG (MiESG), Malaysian Four Wheel Drive Association (MFWDA), Indonesia Offroad Federation, Land Cruiser Club Malaysia, Malaysian 4 Wheelers, 4×4 Adventure Club Kuala Lumpur and other clubs and bodies across the region to attend the AOX opening on Oct 23 2026 to discuss and adopt the proposed industry resolutions. The others include the Offroad Club China, Johor 4WD Club, Offroad Magazine Thailand and Offroad Magazine Japan.
